David Miller

david_millerDavid Miller has long experience in business investment, planning and research. After a significant period in organisational, industry and business research, he moved into the financial sector. His experience encompasses corporate banking, venture capital (including a short secondment in California) and angel investment.

Over recent years he has combined angel investment with business consulting, undertaking feasibility studies, due diligence, business plans and industry studies. He has also spent several years assessing proposals for government funding. This has provided an insight into the business structures, ownership and governance, operations, distribution, financial projections and export market plans and entry strategies of many of New Zealand's fastest growing small and medium-size companies. For several years he has been a presenter of the "Investment Ready Programme".

David’s professional background includes a four-year period as commercial adviser to the Minister of Finance, where he was involved in major asset sales. He has degrees in marketing and the social sciences, with a major in economics, and a postgraduate degree in industrial psychology. Outside work, David enjoys road cycling, swimming, kayaking and fishing - plus the occasional round of (high-scoring) golf.
