Claire McGowan - Business Development Manager

Dr Claire McGowan is technically trained (PhD in Molecular Microbiology, MBA) with international experience. Claire has been involved in New Zealand Government and biotechnology industry national strategy development. She has experience in the NZ venture capital and investment banking industries and is passionate about working with entrepreneurs and their business opportunities, particularly in the biosciences sector.

Hamish Mathieson - Client Services Manager

Hamish joined the client services team in July 2010. Hamish is a graduate of the University of Canterbury, with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accountancy, Finance and Information Systems. Prior to joining Escalator, Hamish has previously worked as a solicitor in a commercial law firm, focusing on corporate advisory and financial law.

Karen Lyons - EDANZ, Auckland, Office Manager

Karen joined the Escalator Team as the Office Manager in December 2009. Karen has over 8 years Office Management experience with 4 of those being in the Financial Services sector in the UK.

Mark is the entrepreneur’s ambassador into the investment world, with a passion for grooming high growth potential companies for Investment and long term success.

The escalator programme is a specialist services unit aiding Entrepreneurs prepare for and gain investment. Reviewing 300+ companies each year and working with over 175 to prepare for investment.
