Accordingly, neither New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) nor none of their employees or contractors is liable to you, or any other person including your business entity, for any loss which may arise out of the use of or reliance on that information or advice.
Appropriate professional advice should be sought before any business decisions or commitments are made.

Confidentiality

Information received by NZTE is held in the strictest confidence. However, as NZTE is subject to the Official Information Act 1982, the information we hold about you in relation to the Escalator Service is official information under the Act and such information may be released upon request unless there is good reason in terms of the Act to withhold the information.

Disclosure and use of Information

The information in this initial assessment and the subsequent Needs Assessment may be personal information for the purposes of the Privacy Act 1993. You are entitled to have access to, and to correct, that information. EDANZ and Deloitte who manage the Escalator Service for New Zealand Trade and Enterprise are collecting that information for the following purposes:
  • to register you as a participant in the service;
  • to assess the suitability of the identified expansion opportunity for investment capital;
  • to contact you with details of the service
  • to allow NZTE and its training service providers to administer the following programmes: the Escalator Service, Investment Ready Training, Enterprise Training, Pacific Business Training, Maori Trustee Training and Exporter Education
  • to allow NZTE, it’s auditors or monitoring agencies to survey participants about the Service;
  • to undertake compliance audits of NZTE’s service providers engaged in delivering the Service and provide feedback about their performance;
  • to provide further information to you about other websites and services which NZTE considers maybe of interest to you;
  • to allow NZTE and NZTE’s monitoring agencies to monitor and audit the programme and report to Government.

Authority

By submitting this Escalator Initial Assessment Form, you agree that the EDANZ / Deloitte Joint Venture and NZTE:
  • is not liable for any loss that may arise out of the use of, or reliance on, information or advice provided under the Escalator Service; and
  • NZTE, EDANZ, Deloitte and/or their advisers, auditors or monitoring agencies may collect, use and disclose the information in this form in the circumstances set out above.
