The ICE Angels is New Zealands premier angel investing network with 55 members and has been in operation since December 2003. The ICE Angels are a network of private angel investors brought together by The ICEHOUSE to facilitate investment in early stage companies, providing structure to the deal revision process and benefiting from scale economies in sourcing deal flow. This is the largest group of active investors in Australasia.
Our members are ex entrepreneurs and successful business people looking to add early stage companies to their investment portfolio. Our Angels supply much more than simply cash to the venture. By taking an active role in their investments they provide not only governance by serving on boards, but also assisting companies with relationships, strategy, team building, and future fundraising. ICE Angels is not a venture capital fund, though we do have venture capitalists as affiliate members.
Our angel investors are interested in life sciences, early stage technology and creative ventures that have high growth potential. Ventures will typically be in the product development phase with capital needs of $0.1- $1.0m to advance to the next phase of their venture development. The market opportunity will be international, typically with a potential market of NZ$100m plus.
