Jim Kalokerinos has been an active Angel Investor for over ten years having directly invested in twenty start-up companies; is a Director of Brisbane Angels Group Ltd; and is a Fellow of the Australian Association of Angel Investors

He was a co-founder of three successful companies – Techlab Enterprises, Pacific Diagnostics (sold to Baxter International NYSE Fortune 500 company), and Panbio Ltd (ASX: PBO sold to NYSE listed Inverness Medical now Alere in 2008). As a past founder he has an understanding of the issues associated with entrepreneurial endeavours

Jim has over thirty years’ experience in sales, marketing and business development within the Life Sciences. He has worked with scientific product distribution, in-vitro diagnostics and medical devices companies. He has held senior management and board positions in Australia and internationally and much of his professional career has been involved in growing businesses to a sustainable level from start-up.

He has over twenty five years’ experience as a Company Director and currently holds four Non- Executive Board positions with companies involved in food technology, manufacture and distribution, diagnostics, and horticulture and is a member of the investment committee for Terra Rossa Capital. He is also an advisor to several start-up companies.

Jim graduated with a BSc (Industrial Chemistry) USQ and BEcon (University of Qld) and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
